Is this an OBD2 system? The transition year was that year and I need to know what you have. Also, what is the problem? It may be something that didn't set a trouble code.

Okay. You may not have any codes stored. Can you explain what the vehicle is doing?

Okay, if the light is on and the vehicle runs properly, chances are it is an emissions related problem. I believe your vehicle only has one heated o2 sensor. If that was the code he found and it has never been replaced, I would just replace it now.
