If it was cracked and leaking and all you did was patch it and replace the fluid then i would say what else could it be?You saw it broken so it's bad right?AS far as working under the dash your not under there very long just long enough to pop the clip off the pedal and take the clutch master rod off the pedal then put the rod and clip back on.It's really easy.
