Obviously my car is an older model, but I did not
have these problems until moved from CA to
TX 3 months ago. Car was garaged in CA but
is now parked outside. I need to know if the
difficulties I am having are normal and how to
prevent them in the future. Problem 1: Gas
gauge seems to be frozen at empty. Can not
get it to register although I know there is gas
in the car. Problem 2: Turned on air conditioning
yesterday and found that it is not cooling
the interior of the car efficiently (not like it
used to). What is causing this? Are these
expensive fixes?

On ur gas gauge u could have a bad sending unit in the tank bad gauge itself bad bcm or wiring. Without doing some testing I couldn't really tell u on that one. Do u have any codes? On ur a/c does the compressor turn on when u turn on ur a/c?U could be low on charge a leak bad compressor or txv valve could get really expensive. Let me know.
