Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Saturn SL2 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic excess miles

Ok.I got a 94 SL2 that I refuse to depart with. This thing has well in excess of 325,000 miles on it but it is a good solid car. Right @ 3 years ago the original engine went down. #3 cylinder had only 60 lbs of compression when I checked. So.I found me a junkyard engine, slapped it in, and I'm up and running again.
This morning on the way into work, it lost power. So I pull into WalMart just look under the hood (like thats gonna fix it). Then I head back home to pull a compression check. Guess what. It's the same #3 cylinder as the original engine and it has only 60 Lbs.
My question is. Is this a coincidence or is it "The Saturn Conspiracy". Saturn Rules.

When u get a low cyclinder like that #3 is common or #2 the two inner ones get the most heat. Usually its the valves causing the low compression from what I have seen especially when it happens from one moment to the next like that. Let me know how it goes good luck with ur project.
