2001 Saturn SL1 Engine no start

I have a 2001 Saturn. I drove the vehicle to the store, parked it and shut it off as normal. I came back a few hours later, tried to restart. No start! Engine cranks normally, plenty of fuel in tank, can turn the ignition key to the run position and hear the fuel pump presurise the system and stop as soon as it's presurerised. I turn the key to the start and the engine will turn over and immediately start for a few seconds but then not start. It still turns over. I will go through the start sequence again and the same thing over and over. Checked all fuses, connections, battery is good. Please help!

I would not assume a good pump with out checking the fuel pressure.

Are there any codes in the computer?
IS the security light flashing?

There is a 'Security' light that constantly flashes as the key is turned to the run position. If I turn the key off, the security light stops flashing and cannot be seen?

Thanks for the heads up on the security light flashing.I'm old school tech and primarily work on diesel powers boats. After trying the reset procedure a few times, it started. Thanks.

Cool!

Nice to know you had success. Have replaced several of these ignition switches because of this.
