1997 Saturn SC2 Manual 150000 miles

Hello, first time using this site...anyway my problem is my car will not start. The car sat for a few months, and then I tried, and it wouldn't start. I tried to jump it off, and it will not start. I can hear the starter clicking.

Normally I would think this was the battery or the cables, but I had this exact same problem last year and replaced the battery then.

My question is could this be something else other than the battery?

Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. You could have a bad battery or bad starter you said you could hear the starter click.I would take the battery to the auto parts store and have them charge and test it so you can rule that out. Then if its good you can go from there.Let me know when you do that and what happens. Also do you have a multimeter?

Wow, thanks for the quick response.

Yes I was thinking of taking it somewhere and doing a load test on the battery tonight. That is what I did last year, at first they tested it and said the battery is fine, but after trying it again I insisted on getting a new battery and then the car started. Now maybe 8 months later I have the exact same problem, which is why I am asking now here.

Yes I have a multimeter. Thanks again for the help.
