1996 Saturn SC2 shifter cable
Transmission problem
1996 Saturn SC2 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 127000 miles
About two weeks ago i was driving and i went to put it in third and now the only gear it goes into is 3rd and it moves freely back and forth but is stuck in 3rd. so the wires on the shifter cable are being held together by some zip ties and duck tape. what should i do

So did the outer cable come off the base of the inside shifter?

well the first time yes and all the wires ended up getting stripped back but put zip ties around it and put it back into its sheath

Well if all your having problem with is the end that attaches to the shifter then they make a repair kit to repair that end.
