Upon test driving a used 2009 Saturn Outlook (18800 miles), my husband and I heard a very loud "knocking" toward the back of the car when accelerating, turning and stopping ( not consistently). We took it back to the dealership and they took it to GM to have it serviced. They let us know that the Steering Knuckle needs to be replaced.
We like the car, but do not want to purchase a "lemon." Is this a major warning that this car could be a lemon, or have major difficulties in the future, considering it is pretty new? Thanks for all your advice and help!

No it doesnt mean it will be a lemon I had a outlook brand new off the car hauler to the dealer with no power steering it was like manual steering.I had to fix it before we could put it on the lot for sale it had a bad power steering pump. It just means parts fail or are no good even when there new, people think if they buy a brand new vechile it will be perfect and not have problems which isnt true. Your chances are better but nothing is perfect 100 percent of the time I have gotten brand new parts out of the box that was bad doesnt happen often but it does happen. Heres what I say if you and your husband both like the vechile and the price is right for you then get it.
