Took my car for safety/emissions and it failed because my engine light is not coming on at all. No codes thrown. How do I get it to work?

Hello,

There are a few things that can be wrong here so instead of guessing and going through a process of elimination I have included a description of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and a diagnostic troubleshooting guide for the MIL from your vehicle's manufacturer in the diagrams down below.
Please go through this guide, do the tests, and get back to us with what you were able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

I replaced the entire instrument panel and checked fuses. Still no luck.

Good evening,

Did they plug into the car at the inspection station? Were they able to read any information?

Check for power to the two wires I highlighted in the diagram.
