Hi,
I have a Rover 6230sdi Diesel which is emitting Black Smoke and is hesitant on acceleration. It has also increased it's use of fuel it is a 2.0 Litre engine but used to be really good on fuel. I was wondering if you would have any idea of what could be causing this problem.

Hi
Black smoke indicates an overly rich fuel mix. Maybe leaking injector, timing restricted air intake ie. filter clogged. Need to have checked before any damage occurs to engine.
Hope this helps
