Hello. My battery was drained so I asked the guy in the parking lot to jump start my car. For 3-4 seconds before I noticed he put the cables reversed. After this the key is locked in ignition and the car is not starting. Lights, horn, radio, lock are working, and key is recognized.
I checked in the fuse box, and it seems some fuses have no power at all but are not burned.
Any ideas what to do?

Car listed above is a Cayman 987.

There are multiple fuse boxes in that vehicle. The first step will be to check all of them to see if one or more failed and is causing the lack of power. Hopefully a cheap fuse protected the expensive electronics in other parts of the vehicle. To do the tests you only need a simple test light for now. Then follow this guide to test both ends of the fuses and see if any have failed, I have seen fuses that looked perfect that were actually blown so just looking doesn't usually work.

To check all the fuses is going to take a bit of digging as the holders are scattered around the car.
The first stop is the current distributor (fuse link center) This is the block that the battery cable connects to. Check at both ends for power. Check the interior fuse panel next. Then go to the rear fuse panel in the luggage compartment and test those as well. Attached you will find the lists of the items powered. Hope you find it is just one of the front power connections.

It worked! You saved me a lot of money since the car dealer here is very expensive.
It was only one fuse and the key had to be removed with this metal wire in order to reset the fault.
Thank you very much!

Great to hear you found it. Glad a fuse did its job, far too many instances in this situation where the 5-cent fuse doesn't fail but instead the $500.00 module it "protects" gets taken out instead.
