Dash board keeps cutting out leaving blank screen

Renault's are renowned for electrical fault's .. especially plug's (connectors) becoming detached and wires rubbing and breaking ... check the electrical connector to the dash display is not loose .. or any wires broken/loose ... of course renault will tell you that you need a new display ... ?
