This vehicle started this problem after being pack for seven years and came back to start the vehicle and this vehicle started this problem. What's the cause of this problem?

Hi,

Take a look through this link first and let me know if anything is helpful. If not, the cylinder may need to be replaced. Additionally, make sure the battery is fully charged.

Also, please confirm the engine size for me. No 5.6L is an option. The sport comes with a 5.0L.

Take care,

Joe

Cylinder may need to be replaced. No, it does not use key but keyless system.
Note: Engine capacity is 5.0L V8

Hi,

If it is a keyless system, what cylinder are you referring to?

Let me know.

It is from your previous post "If not, the cylinder may need to be replaced. Additionally, make sure the battery is fully charged". What are you referring to by cylinder need to be replaced?

Hi,

When you indicated you couldn't turn the ignition, I assumed it had a traditional type key. I was unaware it was a push-button start.

Let me know.

I was unaware it was a push-button start. Yes, it was a push-button start.
So, what will I do in this situation?

Because it is a push-button start, the first thing I would do is check for diagnostic trouble codes. Scan the can-bus to see if there is anything stored.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know if that is something you have already done.

How can you scan a vehicle that when you press the push-button, no light will appear on the dashboard showing that ignition was turned on?
With the new BCM installed and push-button pressed, a light will flash saying "key not found".

Hi,

When you replaced the BCM, did you restore communication to the CJB and update/program the new module?

Can program a module when the ignition is not turned on, everything I am doing now is for ignition to turn On. Use the ignition diagram to check how to turn ignition on before programming.

Hi,

I don't know if it will help you or not, but I attached the wiring schematic for the starting system. It appears everything comes from the BCM.

Let me know if this helps.

Joe
