Hello. I was wondering if I need to take out the entire radiator in order to change the radiator cooling fan motors? Also, if I don't have to take the radiator out, do I need to empty the radiator fluid in order to change the radiator cooling fan motor? Thank you so much.

I truly appreciate the help.

Hi,

Are far as replacing the cooling fan motors, you don't need to drain the coolant or remove the radiator. However, you will need to follow the directions to remove the radiator to access and remove the blower motors.

I attached the directions below from the radiator removal and replacement. Take a look through them and let me know if they help.

Also, I provided the direction for radiator replacement. Again, you don't need to remove it. You just need to remove several of the parts as though you are replacing it just to access the fan motors.

I crossed out the procedures you don't need to do. I wrote "end" when you reach the point of fan removal. Replacement is the reverse of removal.

Also, here is a link that shows in general how it's done. You can use this to help guide yourself.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
