I recently purchased a power steering pump due to the steering wheels being so hard when it’s driven. The new one was not as hard and it’s been a week then the steering wheel locked. What could it be?

When you say the wheel is locked do you mean it will not turn at all? Also, how did this happen? Were you driving and it locked up or did you find it when you tried to start the engine?

It sounds like the steering lock has failed and locked the wheel. However, let us know about this info and we can go from there. Maybe get a video of what is happening with the steering now and we can go from there.

Okay. It is appears you have electric power steering pump so we need to find out if you have power going to the pump.

I attached the wiring diagram below that shows the wiring coming into the gear so we need to check for voltage especially on the wiring to the motor itself.

Let me know if you have questions on this. Thanks
