I change the power steering fluid in my car and now it makes a bad noise and it has bubbles in the reservoir. What can I do to fix it? If you have a diagram it would be great. I also do not have special tools to take out the air trapped if that be the case. I tried turning back and forth the steering wheel to purge, but noise will not go away. I used Lucas power steering fluid.

You need power steering fluid type III or compatible if the Lucas stuff was not the right stuff can cause the noise also turn to lock and hold for thirty seconds then turn other way do the same. Repeat five times see if that fixes it.

Thank you for the info. I found the problem. The resevoir was full of gunk. I cleaned it and refilled and it works perfect.

Best Regards,
