The passenger side power sliding door in my vehicle listed above stopped working. It doesn't respond to the buttons or seem to be getting any power in any way. I'm able to open and close it manually.

Is this the same problem?

No. The not opening fully was a safety measure that when the windows are down it won't open fully. And I already replaced the latch. Thanks for that. Fixed that issue. This is a different issue now with the power sliding.

While closing my sliding door it wouldn't latch. It was a bit before the end. After some troubleshooting, I realized it's the door latch. The mechanism doesn't open up when the handle is pulled. The only way to close the door is to pull the handle while using a screwdriver to pop the latch mechanism open. Tried oiling it already.

How do I fix it? Is there a spring or cable or something that snapped?

Yep, the spring inside the latch has broken and it must be replaced, I don't think you can open it up for repair as a safety issue. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

I have a very weird problem in that most days my power sliding doors work fine. At seemingly random times, however, I'll try opening the doors and they'll only open 3/4 of the way and not let me open it any further even when I try manually opening them. This will happen to both sliding doors at the same time. I'll try it again a few hours later and then they'll be working fine again. I can't figure out what's causing it. 99% of the time they're fine.

Yep, it sounds like the door sliders need to be lubricated or the RAM (Rear Area Module) module is going out. To be sure we should do a CAN scan to see what comes up, you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

This guide may help as well:

Here is a wiring diagram for the sliding doors so you can see how the system works. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Actually, I just got a response from a forum I posted it on - "There's a safety interlock built into the doors. If the windows are partially or wholly open, the doors will only slide 3/4. This interlock is intended to prevent someone from getting their arm trapped in the open window by the sliding door. You should also hear an alarm sound when this occurs."

Does that sound like it may be the solution?

It could be, can I ask which forum you used? Do you hear an Alarm? I would try using WD40 on the slides before anything else.

Does the scanner do the body control as well, is it a CAN scanner?

Not sure about an alarm per se. There's a beeping sound when it comes to the stop but I wouldn't call that an alarm really.

Solved. It was a safety measure that when the windows are down it won't open fully.
