Power loss sluggish and surging acceleration

Stalls when clutch pressed. Hissing sound when gas pedal pressed. Exhaust sounds muffled starts won't idle. Unknown check engine light on possibly o2 sensor.

Hello, I'm Danny.

You will need to have the check engine light codes read.It means a code is stored in your vehicles computer.If you don't have access to a code reader/scanner most auto parts will read them for free or have a tool loaner program and can rent you one.Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:

P0171 was the code it had.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Code P0171 is a Bank 1 system lean condition. Usually this means a vacuum line(s) or intake manifold gaskets are leaking. Basically extra air is being introduced into the engine and is not being metered causing poor performance.
