I recently had codes read for my Check Engine Light. I was told the Catalitic Converter was clogged up. The Car runs Great, No hessitation, no stumbling, No rotten egg smell. Just an annoying light. Any thoughts?

A clogged convertor will cause driveability problems, hesitation, loss of power.

The code they probably got was a downstream O2 sensor "effeciency below threshhold", this is generally fixed by replacing the downstream O2 sensor(s).

A convertor backpressure test will confirm if convertor is clogged.

I would get a second opinion and if it is an O2 sensor, I would avoid the shop that wanted to replace the convertor.
Factory Toyota convertors are NOT cheap.
