Sometimes when I start my car the engine will turn over for about 2 seconds then it the engine will shake for a second and the engine will stall out. It does not always do this. I have noticed that when it does do this it will do it over and over and over again untill it finaly starts I once tried 6 times before it finaly caught and stayed running. I have found that if it does this, on the second attempt at turning it over, I will rev the engine a little, 1500 rpm is enough, the engine will turn over and then run fine. This problem only happens at startup. Once running the engine runs fine with no other problems. I can run all day long with no issues.
I had a tune up done at 60000, all fluids, timing belt, plugs, wires. And I always change the oil every 3-4 thousand miles (mobile 1 5w30 synthetic)
If the engine stalls out like that sometimes can that do any damage to the engnie? Any suggestions?

Are you getting any codes (error codes)?

It would not mechanically hurt the engine, but pumping raw gas into engine can cause convertor/O2 sensor damage.

You most likely have an intermittent sensor failure. Best fix is to get car scanned and find problem.

I applaud you on your maint. Routine, very nice.
