2002 Pontiac Grand Prix cannot accelerate hard

I have an 02 grand prix gt, When I hit the gas hard to try and accelerate my tach will go up to around 4 grand and stop my check engine light will start flashing and my car won't accelerate anymore

I had a similar issue lately w/ my 98 Grand Prix. The problem was a misfire on cylinder 2 due to bad wire/plug connection. I would get the misfire (jerking, stuttering feeling) while accelerating up an on-ramp or going from 40mph to 50mph. Had my plugs and wires replaced and now I can't get it to misfire while driving. I do have a new issue of the car shaking on start up after sitting overnight. I would have a mechanic scan your computer for errors, check your plugs/wires, if all is fine there, it may be a timing/pressure issue in the cylinder.
