1994 Pontiac Grand Prix thermostat

The info I've seen and read shows the thermostat on the top of the engine. My husband tried to do this and says it's under the engine. Is this possible?

Thermostat is soo simple. Doubtful its under the car. It should be right up front. Like 2 small screws will take the little metal cover off to access the thermostat. Just ask a guy at autozone to show you where its at. Only will take a second
