I have a 92 grand prix 3.1ltr that dies all the time. My mechanic can't seem to find the problem. It will start and run fine for a while, then die. To restart it you have to give it alot of gas, but then it runs really rough. If you take your foot off of the gas it will die again. We've replaced the injectors, crankshaft sensor, plugs, wires, coil packs, computer, altinator, and starter. I've checked all of the fuses and don't know what else it could be. Any ideas.

First, is the service engine soon light on? It sounds like either the TPS, or the idle air control, or maybe a vacuum leak, let me know about the light!

I just read your question and I have a 1992 Grand Prix and the problem you are having sounds just like what I just went through. I replaced alot of stuff before we got to the problem we replaced the ingnition modulor and it fixed it. So if you haveen't tried that I would suggest try and replace it cause that was what was wrong with my grand prix. I hope this helps you.
