Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently bought a 2000 pontiac grand am that is a 4 cylinder. The engine in it is blown. I have a 2000 grand am that has body damage that is a v6, but the engine and transmission are good. So I wanted to find out how to go about transferring the V6 engine and transmission into the 4 cylinder

Now I can't be much help as I do not have the car here but with this kind of engine change it is a complete change. What I mean is that you will basicly lift the body off one and put it on the other. So you unbolt the front sub frame out complete unpluging not cutting any wiring and roll it out from under each car, with engine trans and everything. Then you will need to pull the exhaust out of each as this will need to be swapped too. Then the computer from the V-6 will need to go into the new car too.
