1999 Pontiac Grand Am noise from brake

When I press my brake paddle I hear I grindig sound coming from with sounds to me the bake on the right side please tell me what can this be

Hello -

It sounds to me like your brake pads are worn out and what you are hearing is the metal rivets grinding into the rotors when you are stopping.

You need to have your brakes checked to ensure this is the problem. A brake job my be your fix.

Also, it looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.
