"I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand am and lately I've noticed every time I step on my bracks it is making an odd noise. Wondering if it could possibly be my brake pads that need replacement. The alignment is fine as I just got that done and the stearing wheel does not."

Of course it's possible. The only way that you're going to find out is to have it inspected.

I'm not there to hear the noise or see the car so I can't begin to tell you what might be happening. If you give me some facts, I can give you some advice.

I understand that you can't hear the noise, but I'm going to take my car to a mechanic and was wondering if you would have any other suggestions on what could be going on? Everytime I apply my brakes there is a humming noise. When realised the noise is gone and the car runs fine. I have had alignment corrected. Any suggestions?
