WENT OUT TO MOVE MY 96 FIREBIRD IN THE DRIVEWAY. CAR JUST CLICKED AT STARTER. CAR WONT START. REMOVED POS. CABLE, CHANGED OUT STARTER BECAUSE IT WAS BAD. NOW IT CRANKS OVER BUT WONT START. I HERD FUEL PUMP ONCE. DID I SHORT OUT SOMETHING? DID I ERASE CODES OUT? I CHECKED FUSES. ALL OK. WHAT ABOUT RELAYS? THEY SAID MY BATTERY IS GOOD. MAYBE ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH? PLEASE HELP.

Welcome, With the engine cranking, is there spark at the plugs? Also, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Another thought, what about the theft system?

I'm not sure of engine litre size?

There should be a schrader valve on the fuel rail, #12 is the schrader valve. As far as the theft system is the lite on the dash flashing or anything, when trying to start.

THE ENGINE IS 3.8L. NO LIGHTS FLASH WHEN I TURN THE KEY ON. THEY COME ON THEN GO OUT. WHAT SHOULD THE FUEL PRESSURE BE?
