My car has been loyal to me for a while now. Yesterday it had rained really hard and the road to my house was flooded. The only way to get there was to go throught this huge and deep puddle. I went through at idle speed and when I got out the other side the car was acting funny. It wants to kill itself when I give it gas while in drive. It idels reall rough and when I step on the gas it smells of gas. The first thing that I checked was the air filter and it was completely dry. I changed all the spark plugs and that helped a little but it still want to die when I try and drive it. The weird thing is is that all the gauges read normal and the check engine light doesn't come on. Aslo when I try and drive it it sounds like its spitting back into the intake. I'm completely stumped.

Check all the electrical connections to the engine, O2, MAP/MAF, TPS, dist/crankshaft sensor, coolant temp etc.
Remove connectors and blow compressed air and/or electronics cleaner on each side of connector.
