My 88 firebird when I turn on my head lights my dash lights so I can see my gauges does not light up. Fuses are all good, my check engine light and brake lights all come on just not the lights so I can see my gauges any ideas?

With your headlights working ok and everything else then the problem would be in the dimmer switch for the dash. If I rember you have a wheel type. With it being dark turn on the headlights and turn the dash dimmer switch up and down. If lights srtill don't go on then the problem will be in the dimmer switch itself. First check the wires going to the switch in the back. Have seen where a wire had become loose.

The cargo light has a seperate connection in the switch. When you turn it all the way then it connects another circuit to turn the light on.
