Heater problem
2000 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

The car sat without running for 2-3 months in the cold (minnesota) weather. Upon starting again, the blower would not work. There was a hot electrical smell the first time. I have replaced the HVAC fuse twice, even though it looked OK. I have concluded that is probably not the problem. What happens now when the fan switch is turned on, sounds like the blower tries to run, very sluggishly, two times for a couple of seconds, and then nothing. Turning the system off and trying again seems like it resets and I get the same result. Any ideas on what the problem is, and also how to get at the blower unit.
Thanks

Sounds like the blower motor is starting to go. Try tapping on motor to see if it picks up speed. If there is exessive resistance in the motor the circuit shuts down until it cools off.
