1999 Pontiac Bonneville windshield wiper switch

Wiper switch will not turn off, stuck in intermittant mode. How to replace switch in stearing col.

Ok first you will remove the plastic from around the column then you should be able to see the the lever and the switch. It may be easier to lower the column down. Now remove the lever then remove the switch the wiring goes to the lower part of the column. I recommend cutting it off (the old switch) and tieing a string to it and pulling it up the column. Then make sure the the wiring is the same as the new switch in the same place and everything. Now carefully remove the pins from the new switch and remove the plastic connector from the new switch tape up the wires and tie that string to it to pull the wiring back down the column. Now using your old connector that you cut off match the wires and plug them back into the new plastic connector that you removed and plug it back in and put the column back together.
