1996 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO MY CAR WOULD NOT START. ALL THE ACCESSORIES CAME ON INCLUDING THE CHIME AND RADIO BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT START, IT WOULDNT EVEN MAKE A CLICKING NOISE. THE NEXT DAY IT STARTED UP JUST FINE. NOW IN THE PRESENT, I WAS DRIVING MY CAR YESTERDAY, WENT HOME FOR A BIT WENT OUT TO START IT AND IT DID THE SAME THING. ITS BEEN OVER TWENTY FOUR HOURS AND STILL WONT START. COULD THIS BE THE IGNITION SWITCH OR STARTER?

Do you have a security light that comes on on a lot of the bonnevilles they have reistors built into the key if the reistor in the key goes bad or the module itself it will turn on but wont crank could also b a wire going into the starter
