Engine Cooling problem
1989 Pontiac 6000 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 145.00 miles

have pontiac 6000le 1989 replaced t-stat and upper hose when running upper hose gets hot so does lower hose but, no hot air. Coolant just bubbles into the overflow then temp light comes on. Left side of radiator is always cool to the touch. All was good before I changed the t- stat. I had no heat thats why I changed it. Help

Is the engine overheating? Have you tried flushing the radiator, engine, and heater core? Also, you mentioned the coolant is bubbling. Is the temp gauge indicating that it is overheating? Sometimes, it there is a bad head gasket, this can happen because compressed air is making its way to the coolant system.

Let me know.
