Just replaced steering column (due to ignition lock failure) with one from salvage yard. Ignition lock and switch work (lock turns, car starts), had to swap out the multifunction switch to operate wipers. After starting, dash gauges, readouts, lights come on briefly but fail after 20 - 30 seconds. Gauges, speedo, etc. And all related functions (odometer, fuel gauge, engine temp, mpg avg, miles to empty, cruise control, radiator fan, etc.) All fail. Swapped ignition starter switch and then replaced with new switch but same results. Also replaced am/fm cass deck with OEM model at same time. All functions work on audio unit. Moved SRS airbag from old steering wheel to replacement during swap. I see no loose grounds and all wiring connectors are properly connected. Any ideas as to what might be causing problem?

I have pulled instrument cluster. Which connector pins should I check? The wiring harness connector pins are not loose or broken and circuit board appears to be ok. Is there any other possible location to check?

Have to remove the board and check the back of it you will see a hair crack in the solder between the pins and the board

Resoldered connector pins for both harness connector and jumper strip and cluster still blanks out after operating for 20 - 30 seconds. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the input so for.
