1994 Plymouth Voyager All Wheel Drive Automatic

The 'check engine' light on my 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager keeps coming on. I took it to an auto shop and they ran a computer scan on the engine and said it was "most likely" due to a high o2 sensor volty (code 21). The car recently (about 2 weeks ago) pass the I/M test and has had an oil change. What exactly is the o2 sensor volty and is it something that needs to be taken care of right away? Am I still able to drive the car?
