I have replaced the radiator. Brand new just bought a few weeks ago radiator. I was in a wreck and had most parts replaced to new, but when I first drove her she overheated on me in a matter of seconds! Pulled back into the driveway and it spewed out from the front like a water hose spitting at you. Mechanic looked and advised to get a thermostat and new O-ring. I wondered if anyone could tell me how to find the thermostat on my car and how to replace it myself if possible in detail?

Other than doing this cold.

Making sure the springy side is down on the thermostat.

Not over-tightening and refilling the coolant when done.

Does this look like your set up? This is a video on You Tube, not mine.

Wonderful!

Sorry the link I found was a different 4.6

So anyway, you tackled this all by yourself?

Strut around like a bantam rooster?

Don't it feel really good to repair your own stuff?

That made it all better?

A repair manual will assist you in other tasks that might come along.

Be sure to come back and see us, send you friends too!
