My car keeps blowing the taillight fuse. I keep replacign it with the right fuse, a 20, and with one push of the brake the fuse will melt or blow. I think there might be a shortage somewhere but I dont know where

Hello, my info showed the brake lites and tail lites use a different fuse? Are you talking about the brake lites?

Your high mount brake lites are wired a little different than the lower brake lites. The lower brake lites are wired through the turn signal switch, the high-mount brake lites aren't.

Any testing you do, you might use a testlite across the fuse terminals, instead of a fuse, so you don't blow all your fuses. If the testlite comes on, the circuit is going to ground somewhere. If there is a connector in the trunk for the rear lites, unplug it, see if the testlite still comes on.
