Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When I come to a stop my car quits at times. When I crank it back and put it in gear it dies again or sometimes it will go until I get to another stop. About 5 years or so I had my torgue converter switch disconnected and it hasn't been replaced since. No problems have occured until about a month ago.

Sure, that could also be the problem, and the cheper fix. Whats not leaning me in that direction is simply, the car probably would never start back up.

Exactly, those are the symptoms, when it gets hot it will cause an open circuit, causing it to not to give the signal, but when it cools the circuit closes again causing a complete circuit. Thus making it give the correct signal. Gas filter, no. Idle air control valve is a possibility too.
