I dont think it runs hot, I think either the thermostat needs replacing or the temp sending unit for the coolant is "week' and needs changing. The gauge is indicating that it is hot for about twenty five minutes? That doesnt necessarily mean the car is overheating, it could mean a bad signal from the temperature sensor. Also you should check the coolant level and the level in the resevoir
