1995 Oldsmobile Achieva Engine is idling to high

What is making the engine idle so high? Its idling between 1,500 to 2,500 RPMS.I know u cant adjust the idle so what could be the problem?

Clean out the idle air control valve.

Its on the throttle body and use a carb cleaner

Replaced the valve. Still idles above 2000 RPMS

Check the ignition timing, also for a vacuum leak or try adjusting from the throttle stop screw and also clean the throttle plate bore or kinked/binding acc. Cable

Problem fixed. Disconnected battery and reconnected it. That reset the computer. Idles great now
