Hello I recently got my power steering pressure hose and alternator replaced on my 02 Hyundai sonata v6, the fluid leaked all over the alternator which caused is too break. Now im having a problem with my oil light flickering and a loud noise I replaced the oil pressure switch. Light still on any ideas what can it be before I loose my engine.

Have you checked the oil level? Have you noticed any leaks? And does the cars seem to run ok? What type of noise is it? Does it do it all the time or only when driving?

Oil level is fine, gotta an oil change a month ago before all these extra problems oil light was never on before now its on after changing the power steering pressure hose and alternator. No leaks. The noise is like ticking all the time and its very draggy when stepping on gas. Runs okay I worried that the oil is not running threw system because there's no flow pressure wise, I was thinking oil pump but I want to make sure.

Did the oil light come on immediately after the oil change? Because if they ran the vehicle after they drained the oil and forgot to put oil back in, that could have damaged the oil pump. See if you can find a shop that can hook a hand held oil pressure gauge to the vehicle and get a reading. Your oil pressure should be 7.3 psi at idle at normal temperature.

It is possible that you've got another problem but I cant say what. I would really get the oil pressure checked first. Does the dragging only occur when driving or does it hesitate to rev in park as well?

When I worked at a car rental company we had many Hyundai sonatas that had ticking noises with even 15,000 miles on them. Issue turned out to be cheap oil filters. The engine requires high quality oil filters. I would suggest changing it out and top your oil then run it and see. Hyundai also make a bulletin concerning this problem. Lots of quick oil change places use crappy filters for bargain oil change prices. They get you in and out for the minimum possible just for the cash. Hyundai motors don't like cheap oil changes.
