most common components in a non abs braking system?

I'm studying mechanics at college and i've got lots of course work to do, i'm really stuck and hope that you could help me with one question.
Whats the main most common components in a non abs braking system?

it depends on how old the system is for one thing. in the more modern systems master cylinder, combination valve, wheel cylinders in rear, calipers in front. Rotors and pads in front, shoes and linings in rear. front brake hoses an done brake hose in rear. and of course brake lines.rear drum brake pic included, can't find a decent front brake pic.
