Mines been empty and not driven for quite some time now.
I hit the gas twice softly and didn't move, did I damage anything by doing that? I read that maybe it's not lubricated or something? I'm just scared I messed something up.

I had it in reverse and it all of a sudden starts moving after about a minute or so. Same with all my other gears. Is this normal?

Did I damage anything by doing what I did? Tapping the gas twice? Thanks as always guys. Hope I can get out of this state tomorrow and back home!

Update: I'm freaking out right now because my cars not shifting properly whatsoever. I switch from reverse to drive, I lost drive again. I lose it even when I actually have movement it will just skip. I used three quarts atf+4 synthetic Valvoline and 1 quart supertech atf+4 because that's all they had. Please help me, I'm absolutely terrified of what this might mean.

Good morning,

Did you verify the fluid level?

Did you make sure the filter is mounted correctly?

Is this the Jeep that you left the pan down during the rain?

Yes, yes and yes, and we have an open question where you told me to just clean it with brake cleaner. I asked you if I should be worried about anything that got up inside and you didn't answer.

Being open for the short time you stated, there should be no damage.

Why did you change the fluid? Was this issue present before you changed the fluid?

Thanks Roy! I fixed it, simple mistake. Basically, I looked up my fluid capacity. So I read four quarts and I was under the impression that was the entirety of the system. So, while my pan was being taken on and off from me re-threading female threads and messing with the torx screw, I lost much more than 4 quarts. So last night, I put in my four new quarts. I then waited 40 minutes to let it drip down, I checked my level while running in neutral and it was reading correct level. What I didn't realize is that 40 min wasn't enough. It was an inaccurate reading. So instead of 4 quarts, I added 3 more quarts so 7 total. She's running beautifully now. Basically I didn't realize that there was more than four quarts, so last night when I was experiencing this problem, it didn't even cross my mind. I thought I added four quarts, I checked my level (inaccurate reading) so I thought any more fluid would flood it.
When I spoke with my father this morning he explained the situation

Aside from my brand new tire already getting punctured, the days turning out okay. Thanks as always
