I got an oil change from jiffy lube and after I drove 200 miles and let the car sit for the night I started it up and whenever I accelerate, a whir starts happening. It starts low but when I get to about 50mph it starts becoming a high pitched whir and it sounds like my car will explode. When I idle rev, nothing happens. I checked with jiffy lube and they said that when they change an oil filter, a little oil spills onto the belts which cause it to slip and make the whirring noise. They said to wait for the oil to go away in a few days. Is this true?

Oil is bad for belts. Problem migth not go away and using a belt dressing will just make it worse in the long run. If problem persists, go back and have them replace the belt due to their spilling oil on it. Be sure it gets done and they dont try to just clean it, that is only temporary
