My mechanic accidentally cleaned the throttle control assembly, and the idle speed became erratic. After changing the throttle control assembly, the idle speed is 1,500 RPMs. I did a troubleshoot by removing the mass air flow sensor with the engine running but there was no change in the high idle. How can I reduce the idle speed?

Based on this I suspect you need to relearn the idle air volume, but we could still have an issue so let's start with these guides that will cause a high idle:

Assuming you have no issues but just a high idle then we need to do the process below that will walk us through learning the idle again.

Let's run through all this info and we can figure out what the next steps are.

Thanks
