Yes I did push the pedal down. Also replace the distributor cap on it. Went to start it this morning after leaving the battery unhooked and it sounded like is was going to roll over twice but didn't

Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Nissan Pathfinder 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 278 KM miles

My car cranks strong but won't fire. In the last couple months, maybe every 20th time I drive it, the engine will almost die as soon as I touch the gas pedal but it idles perfectly. Eventually after pushing the gas several times it goes back to normal.

This used to only happen right when I started the car until two days ago when something similar happened as I was driving along and it seemed like the engine lost a lot of power. I'd hit the gas pedal but almost nothing would happen. The engine didn't sound like it was going to stall, it just had no power. This went away after about 20 seconds of driving and it was back to normal.

I haven't driven the car since then and just now when I tried to start it won't fire.

I haven't driven the car since then and just now when I tried to start it won't fire. Do below might lead you to somewhere

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

**Cranks but no start condition:

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.

Im having trouble with my car, I have a brand new battery in it, and the starter is less than 6 months old. I have a good connection on the battery and all the lights come on when the key is turned to the on position. There is plenty of gas in the car.

After all this I cannot seem to get the car to start. When I turn the key to the start position I hear nothing, no clicks, no noises. I cannot seem to diagnose the problem.

I want to put off taking the starter and starter solenoid assembly, because on my model of truck it is really difficult to get out. Any and all help would be great. Thank you for your time.

No crank at all/nothing/nada:

Could be a blown fusible link the starter, starter relay, clutch switch/park and neutral switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good. Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
