1991 Nissan Pathfinder Transmission will not shift and blow

Hi
When the at power switch is switched to auto. Then try to shift to drive it blows the the fuse. But when its in power it doesn't blow the fuse. But either way it doesn't want to shift going down the road. Even Manualy trying to shift

Hi starwarrior,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

From the symptom descriptions, most probably the A/T Control unit (ATCU )is bad or has a shorting in the wiring circuit.

I would like to confirm if it is Fuse "K" that is blowing when in Auto mode?
Was any repairs carried out prior to this happening?
Was any trouble codes retrieved from the ATCU?
