Auto transmission problem

1990 Nissan Pathfinder, had Trans. Flushed in April then in Sept. Started having problems would have to let off gas to shift and would squall as a belt will when loose. Tightened all belts still had problem all mechanics said overhaul. Got some Lucas Trans fix and put it in and problems have all but stopped still back off gas on shifting just to not push it hard in case. But no more squall. Do I still need overhaul or is there another problem. :Roll:

Dunno if its an ECT type-if it is check the Throttle Position Sensor and the Vehicle Speed Sensor to include the Coolant Temperature Sensor

The 3 items above communicates with the computer to provide a smooth upshift and overdrive

Note: if the engine is not running right it will cause the tranny to act up.
