purchased 1986 nissan stanza with 175,000 miles on it. The vehicle had been sitting for about 1 year. Replaced the fuel, the battery, and cleaned the spark plugs. The car almost turns over then starts clicking as if the battery is dying. However the lights come on brightly ect.

What do you suggest....

Remove all the sparkplugs spray some WD40 on ea. port-try and crank engine over without the plugs.

Cranking problems continue with a known good battery and connections clean/tight. Then its time to check the starter relay and starter. Also a voltage drop test on each cable pos. and neg.

Remember 1yr is a long time the engine is tight-similar to a hydrolock but less-

Good Luck
