I have a 1991 nissan stanza, and I have antifreeze coming out of my tail pipe. The return hose into the top of the radiator is cold and empty while running. When you turn the heater on in the car, the temp jumps from normal to very hot(in the red). Could this be a water pump failure?

You say it is coming out of the tail pipe? The only way for antifreeze to get in with the engine cylinders is through a bad headgasket and a bad intake manifold gasket if it is a wet type manifold.

Yes I think its a wet type, but there are two lines that run into the y-pipe, the first is on the y-pipe its self and goes to the E.G.R. Valve and the second goes to a little valve? Underneath a small black plastic tank which is bolted to a fuse rail. We can see the water slowly leaking out of the first mentioned line or hose.

Yes if you go to photobucket. Com and in the middle of the page you will see a search bar with the images icon highlighted and in the search box type, jcmx515, thats my user name and hit enter. It will then say that no maches were found and ask you if you want to view jcmx's album. There you will find all the pictures I have downloaded there for the car at the top. Jesse
